Wat it is?! The phrase could be both a question and a statement, at any one time or at diferent times of use. I came across the phrase while watching a hip-hop culture film, when one of the characters would often greet by pronouncing "what it is!" or asking "what it is, my peeps?" Needless to say the phrase cought on with me.
However, in the process of writing this blog - which no one will read - i tried to google the phrase. The most accurate result was an Urban Dictionary meaning of "it is what it is." The urban disctionary went on to explain the phrase as meaning either a dispairing 'fuck it' or pointing out the obvious: as in 'the situation is the way the situation is.' I then decided that my rendition of the phrase "wat it is" (without the h, mind you), which could be both statement and question, means either 'what is the situation?' or 'that is the situation!'
Now that we've got that out of the way, onto more serious business.
Firstly, i will not tolerate being told that blogs 'are sooo 8 years ago.' If anyone tells me that i'll kick them in the balls, male or female (what? im not afraid to hit an old lady).
Second, this blog is my personal space to pronounce my opinions raw and unplugged, so if anyone reports my posts... they have 10 seconds before their balls get kicked, where ever they are in the world.
Third and finally, this blog seeks to reflect all the cool things that my generation has enjoyed, created, or distroyed. To that end, the blog is themed 'Generation Y' (Wikipedia says: The most common range reflects those born from 1980-1999... One segment of this age-group is often called the “eighties babies” generation, in reference to the fact that they were born between January 1, 1980 and December 31, 1989).
